Obituary of Martin D. Castle

Martin D. “Marty” Castle, 68, of Watervliet, formerly of Troy, NY and of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Albert and Ruth Cassidy Castle and was a graduate of Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College, where he earned his Associates Degree.

Marty was President of Dew Enterprises, LLC and had previously been employed at Publix, Westgate Timeshare Sales while residing in Florida.

Marty’s loved traveling, photography and volunteering with the Counsel on Aging in Troy and FL.

Father of Martin D. (Kitsy) Castle, grandfather of Aubrey Castle, brother of Deborah Wilcox, also survived by several cousins and friends.

In keeping with Marty’s wishes, private funeral services were entrusted to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, New York 12182.

On Marty’s behalf, sincere appreciation to those from Community Hospice and Belvedere Home Care for their loving care.
