Jeannie and I spent many happy times together, visiting family and friends. Jeannie always loved going to the carnivals, and always laughed when I would get sick after ever ride. But one of her greatest loves were her dogs, Sprocket and Pepsi (pepsi wepsi as Jeanne would call her). When Sprocket hopped in the care, Jeannie loved him so much she'd get in the back seat, and by the look Sprocket gave her, how could she say no? I was blessed to be able to share these wonderful memories with Jeannie.
There are many memories of my dear cousin, Jeanne, and the ‘gang’ of neighborhood kids who grew up together. Jeanne lived right across the street and we were together all the time, often meeting up at our Grandparents house. I remember all the years that we played in the softball league together, riding our bikes to practices and games. I remember many fun times over the summers swimming in our pool. I remember lots of sleep-overs in the ‘playhouse’ that my Dad built for Chris and I. I remember many times asking Gramma Gorcesky to take us all to the Country Drive-In for ice cream, (she was always willing to go). I remember how we would all make our own costumes and go trick-or-treating together. I remember many, many holidays with the families all together sharing great food and much laughter. I remember her intense love for dogs and many walks with our pets over the years. I remember how excited she was to get her green Corvaire car and taking us for rides in it.
I think this quote sums up very nicely my feelings: “In my heart, you will forever be linked with grandma’s house, living room forts, and the power of family and friendship all rolled up into one”.
Cousin, you will be missed by all who knew and loved you.
