Obituary of Robert O'Malley

Robert “Bob” O’Malley, 80, of Clifton Park, passed away on January 29, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 7, 1945, and was the son of the late Michael and Mary O’Malley. Bob was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. He retired from the NYS Department of Corrections. Bob married Dicey A. O’Malley on January 23, 1971. He was a devoted Father and PopPop to his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family.    

He is survived by his wife Dicey O’Malley, daughter Dicey “Dejay” Harrison (husband Derek) and son Robert B. O’Malley (wife Karen); PopPop to Joseph Robert Harrison, Ryan Anthony O’Malley and Madelyn Rose O’Malley; sister Carol, brothers Frankie, Kenny and Michael, and many nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd. Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Interment with full military honors will be at 12 PM in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylervlle. NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
