Obituary of Helen T. Perry

Helen T. Perry, 83, of the Glendale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025 after a long illness.  She was born on Sept. 25, 1941 in Troy, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Burmel Terry.  She was a graduate of CCHS class of 1959 and had attended Russell Sage College in Troy.  She was the beloved wife of the late Allan P. Perry who died on July 9, 2020.  Helen enjoyed being a house wife and homemaker.  She also enjoyed tennis, and bowling with the Cliftonettes.  She loved vacationing with her family in Maine.  She loved hosting the family for holiday dinners, especially Christmas. She had been a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Ballson Spa.    

She is the devoted mother of Christine E. (Daniel) Franchini and Susan L. Perry;  sister of the late Ann (Philip) McNamee, George Terry, Betty Terry and Mary Terry and sister-in-law of the late Ronald Perry; also survived by her nephew Ronald G. Perry.

Funeral will be held on Friday at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY  12065.

Spring interment will be in Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
