

Obituary of G. Frank Campbell
G. FRANK CAMPBELL
G. Frank Campbell, 91, formerly of Lansingburgh and Brunswick, beloved husband for over 63 years to R. Jean Brownell Campbell, until her passing on December 21, 2021, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by and in the loving care of his family at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbsuh.
Born in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late G. Samuel and Cecilia Murphy Campbell and was educated in the Lansingburgh schools.
Frank retired in 1995 after 27 years of dedicated service as a Truck Driver from the Grand Union Warehouse in Waterford and had previously been a route deliveryman for 13 years by John J. Boland Beer Distributors in Troy. In retirement, Frank thoroughly enjoyed his employment with Hertz Rental Car that had him jockeying cars locally and throughout the Northeast.
He was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh and had been a member of the ITEA (International Transportation Employees Association).
Frank enjoyed his family, camping and fishing, traveling and winter stays in Florida.
Devoted father to Rose Mary (Robert) Gotham, Frank S. Campbell, and Linda (Leo) Lynch, brother of the late Thomas Campbell, the late Mary Downs, the late David Campbell and the late Sally VanAmburgh, cherished grandfather to Christine (Larry Williams) Gotham, Jennifer (Jim) Remington, Robert (Stephanie) Gotham, Frank (Vicky) Campbell, Jared (Ali) Campbell, and Katie Lynch and John Lynch, adored great grandfather to Christian, Makenzie, Brady, Wyatt, Travis and Parker, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, New York 12182 and to his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh.
Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lansingburgh
Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to St. Augustine’s Church Preservation Fund, 25-115th Street, Troy, NY 12182 or to the American Cancer Society, on-line at donate.cancer.org in memory of G. Frank Campbell.
