Obituary of Ronald N. Neudecker
Ronald N. “Ron” Neudecker, 77, of Troy, beloved husband for 48 years to Carolyn A. Kalbfliesh Neudecker, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 19, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Adam and Catherine McNamee Neudecker and was educated at St. Paul’s School in Beman Park, St. Augustine’s Academy in Lansingburgh and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Lansingburgh and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, where he earned his Associates Degree in Marketing. Ron served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968 to 1974 and in the Coast Guard Reserves from 1984-1998.
Ron was the longtime owner and operator of Neudecker’s Guns and Ammo and of the former Neudecker’s Pastry Shop in Lansingburgh.
Ron exhibited a strong work ethic which was also instilled in his children, had a pleasant and cheerful demeanor, was quite humorous, strong willed and known to be a planner. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, deep-sea fishing, building things, going on cruises - especially to Alaska, annual trips to Wildwood with family and friends and hunting trips. Ron’s greatest love was his family of which he was most proud too. He was a member of the Brunswick Sportsman’s Club and a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh.
Beloved husband to Carolyn, devoted father to Catherine A. (Kenneth) Warg and Ronald A. (Alexandra) Neudecker, cherished grandfather of Jackson and Dylan Warg and Camille and Sophia Neudecker, dear brother of Donald (Ellen) Neudecker.
Relatives and friend are invited to Calling Hours on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 and to his Funeral on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh.
Interment with military honors will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Lansingburgh.
The Neudecker family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the EMT’s from the Troy Fire Department in Lansingburgh as well as to the Doctors and Nurses at St. Peter’s Hospital for all of their loving care provided.
