Elaine Hayner passed away on Tuesday, June 24th at the brave age of 96.

She worked most of her life for Verizon. She loved working in her garden, going out to lunch with friends, Saratoga Race track, Maine and Myrtle Beach.  Her kindness, thoughtfulness and sense of humor will not be forgotten.

She is pre-deceased by her husband, Howard and son, Paul. 

Survivors include her daughters Diane (Columb) Devine of Stephentown, Laure (Randy) Premo of Troy, son Stephen (Vera) Hayner of CT, grandson’s Chas and Alex Premo of Troy.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 and to her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy, NY 12180 which will be followed by burial at Noon in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

We would like to thank the staff at Eddy Village Green and  Community Hospice for their caring and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, our mom would appreciate us all looking after one another and spreading kindness and love.
