Obituary of William R. Blackson

William Richard “Bill” Blackson, of Clifton Park, NY, formerly of Paulsboro, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at the age of 77.  

Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late Richard and Wilma (Powers) Blackson.

Bill worked for the Federal Department of Agriculture as a USDA statistician. He was a Charter Life Member of the American Motorcycle Association and President/Fire Commissioner of the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Company.  He enjoyed many trips to New Hampshire, snowmobiling with his family and friends, wood working in his spare time, motorcycle hill climbs and scrambles with his father. 

Bill's passion was motorcycles and motorcycle racing. He owned and sponsored racing bikes and was a two-time National Champion. He would go to auto races every week.  

Bill is survived by his son, Richard (Natalie) Blackson; a daughter, Jaclyn Lyons; grandchildren, Rylee, Lucas, Makayla, Tieran, and Alexander; sisters, Joanne (Bill) Hultsch, Barbara (George) Kalnas, and Marietta (Patrick) Relation; nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Tyler, Taryn, Kurt, Scott, Brittney, Brian, Michele, Danielle, Teagan, Finley, and Quinn.  He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Wilma Blackson; and nephews, William Hultsch, George Kalnas, Adam Relation, and Patrick Relation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, July 26th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mc-Bride-Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro, NJ 08066 where funeral services will begin that day at 12 p.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ
