
Obituary of Donald J. Conti
Donald James Conti, 74, of Hollandale Apts., Clifton Park, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Arena Atkins Conti and was the beloved husband for 29 years of Deborah M. Beaudoin Conti who passed away on January 5, 2024. He was previously married to deceased Wanda A. Borowski Conti for 15 years. He was a graduate of Broadalbin High School.
Donald served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1973 and received the National Defense Service Medal and his Honorable Discharge.
Mr. Conti started his airline career with Mohawk Airlines. He transitioned with them as they merged with Allegheny Airlines, that later came to be known as U.S. Airways. Throughout his career he was a Senior Ramp Agent at the Albany International Airport in Colonie. He had also been employed by New Country Toyota and Denooyer Chevrolet.
Donald enjoyed fishing, Nascar races, attending airshows, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He highly regarded hard work and patriotism. Therefore, he was a passionate member of the Clifton Park American Legion and Patriot Flight.
Devoted father of Leah Ann (Charles) Hormanski of Argyle, NY and Ryan Lee Conti of Round Lake, NY: stepfather of James R. (Ellen) Yousey, III of Johnson, VT; grandfather of Zachary and Heidi Hormanski, step grandfather to Lorelei Yousey and James R. Yousey, IV.
Graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY 12871.
