Obituary of Joseph H. Antenucci

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joseph H. Antenucci, age 88 of Clifton Park, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the devoted son of the late Joseph and Marie Papa Antenucci and was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and Hudson Valley Community College where he earned his Associates Degree.

Mr. Antenucci proudly served from 1955 to 1998 with the New York Army National Guard in Schenectady.  His entire 35-year working career was contributed to the Watervliet Arsenal where he began as a Draftsman and retired as a Computer Specialist.

Joe was a master problem solver and Mr. Fix-It. Steady, dependable and inquisitive, he was appreciated for volunteering whenever a helping hand was needed.  He attributed his helpful nature to expanding his skillset, knowledge and circle of influence. To many, Joe was their unassuming Superhero that never claimed credit nor demanded reciprocity.

He enjoyed gardening, dabbled in horticulture, and proudly took care of every corner of his 4-acre property. He especially loved feeding all ducks and geese that came to visit him and his pond.

Joe also enjoyed bowling, both in his youth and most recently as part of the Spare Time of Clifton Park Senior League. In between watching baseball games, one could find him methodically working on his latest jigsaw puzzle, with a cookie in hand.

He was the beloved father of Peter and Cortney (Matt), the cherished grandfather of Trevor and Eva, and a second parent to many.  He is also survived by many cousins and friends near and far.

Relatives and friends are invited to Evergreen Memorial Park, 2150 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12304 on Saturday, September 26, 2026 for the Rite of Committal Service to begin at 9:45 a.m. with Military Honors. Please be sure to arrive prior to 9:45 a.m.
