To Dorothy and Melody: So sorry for your loss. I haven't seen any member of the family in years, but remember you all. God Bless each and everyone of you. He's up there with my mom who I am sure she will remember him well. Also Ruth Bazow and all of the other auxillary members and fire department members that have passed. My heart goes out to you all.

There are no words for the range of emotions I have experienced in learning of Al's passing today. I'd like to open by expressing my deepest condolences to Dorothy, his entire family, friends and co-workers. Too numerous to list. Al was very thoughtful and congenial.
I reported to Al some 26 years ago for 3 years at the former Capital Region ReEmployment Center (via the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce) and got my start in Information Technology (a central part of my current occupation) at the same Certified Novell Network Administrator training program referenced in his beautiful and thoughtful tribute I discovered upon arriving at this webpage.
Al was not only a compassionate, congenial, and inspirational supervisor to me, he had a deeply intellectual sense of humor (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and was a very generous person to all who he considered a friend. I found him incredibly humble for a man with such a vast array of gifts and talents.
I pray that his soul is finally immersed in well-deserved eternal peace and rest. We'll sorely miss him, however the cherished memories should sustain us forever.
