Obituary of Sarah A. Wiegand

Sarah A. "Sally" Wiegand, 55, of South Troy, beloved companion of over 25 years of William "Bill" Ormsbee of South Troy entered into eternal life on Friday, December 16, 2016. Born and educated in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Callahan Keenan and the wife of the late Albert Wiegand. Sally was a homemaker and especially loved her grandchildren, spending time with them, her family and friends and playing electronic BINGO on her computer. She will be remembered for being a social butterfly. Devoted mother of Margaret "Maggie" (Dennis VanFonda) Wiegand of Albany, Albert and Alice Wiegand, both of New York City, beloved companion of William "Bill" Ormsbee of South Troy, dear sister of Margaret Muro and Susan Keenan, both of Florida and Eddie Keenan of New York City, cherished grandmother, "Nanny" of Damian and Camren VanFonda, also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family are invited to visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182 where prayers and reflections will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
