Obituary of James R. Vanne, Sr.

James R. “Jim” Vanne, Sr., 63, of Lansingburgh, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Born in Albany, Jim was the son of Richard and Florence Redden Vanne, Sr. and was a graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush and attended HVCC and Syracuse University. Jim retired in 2006 from Goodyear Auto Service in Latham where he had been a Master Tech Mechanic for 27 years. Jim loved fishing, fixing cars, trains, lighthouses, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his children; Natasha Lynn Vanne, James R. “Jimmy” Vanne, II, Matthew R. Vanne and Dylan J. Sanvidge, siblings; Joy (Joey) Arrabito, Bunny Vanne, the late Richard Vanne, Jr., the late Thomas Vanne and the late Lenny (Richard) Jerr, grandchildren; Hayleigh "Bug" Simpkins, David Vanne and the late Saya Lee Vanne, close friends Shannon K. Sanvidge, Jonathan M. Carter, Jr., Carol Bronk, Amanda Hosier and Natalia Roman, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the John J.
