Eleanor P. Carey, 92, of Troy, beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Carey, peacefully entered into eternal life, surrounded by her family on Friday, October 30, 2020. Born and educated in Pinehurst, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jetson Henry Warner and Olivia Dell Frye Warner. She was educated in Carthage, NC. Eleanor was a Private Duty Nurse’s Aide for many years. Mrs. Carey had been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Troy as well as a member of their Choir and Friendly Circle. Eleanor had also been a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Speigletown. Beloved mother of the late Henry Jones, loving sister of Carolyn Reed, James D. Warner and the late Ruth Lawyer, Lawrence Warner and Henry T. Warner, also survived by a host on nieces, nephews, their families, cousins, relatives and friends. In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes, a graveside service will be held in Greenbush Cemetery, East Greenbush, New York on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Attendees must wear a facial covering and observe social distancing as well as capacity limitations. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Morris – Stebbins – Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180.
