Obituary of Ryan A. Klem
Ryan Andrew Klem, 45, passed away suddenly on January 19, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born on June 22nd, Ryan’s vivacious and lively personality was known to everyone. Ryan is survived by his children and their mother, Paula Jubic, whom he loved unconditionally. His greatest joy in life was being a father to his beloved Klara Ann, 9 and Matthew Michael, 5 who was named after his late best friend, Matthew Jubic. Ryan was a loving father who instilled faith, life lessons and would give the world to them both.
Ryan was predeceased by his father Michael J. Klem in 1981.
Survivors include his mother Karen A. and step-father Paul Bodnaryk, brother Michael Klem, and sister Kimberly (Joseph) Gerighty, his nephew, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, family members, and friends. Ryan was blessed to have shared a special and loving bond with three of his first cousins, Chad Warika, Dave Jr. and Joe Klem.
He proudly followed his father’s career path in the field of construction. He was a long-standing member of Laborers' Local #190 as a skilled laborer; he also trained as an electrical specialist, machine operator and craftsman.
Ryan’s presence was always larger than life. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, boating and was an avid Harley-Davidson rider. He was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed playing chess, mastered cooking skills and could often be found outside grilling his famous chicken.
Ryan was deeply proud of his Ukrainian heritage and family traditions. Ryan’s close-knit, special bond with all four of his late grandparents, Wasyl and Anna Klem, and Metro and Eve Warika, was unprecedented. He adored his individual relationship with each of them throughout his life, and their constant, influential, loving commitment to him was steadfast and unwavering.
