Carol and the Volungus family So terribly saddened to hear of Ron's passing. Many memories over a long period of time in Civil Air Patrol, where Ron and you contributed significantly. I will not be able to attend the wake or the funeral, but will keep you in my thoughts.

Ron patiently guided me over the hump of my initial pilot training when I wanted to quit, but after a couple of ground school sessions and a flight with Ron, he helped me get confidence back and could then see what a real pilot was supposed to behave like and “that’s what flying is about..” ! I carry on the friendship and mentoring from Ron all the time and especially when preparing for and when in the air. Captain Ron now on eternal flight patrol, in sunny, clear and unlimited.

Cindy and I are so very sorry to hear about Ron's passing. He was not only a great friend, but a mentor and fellow Civil Air Patrol Officer. We will fondly remember the great times and friendship that we had shared. He will be sorely missed. God Bless and Keep Him!
