Obituary of Mariana Williams

Mariana "Nan" Williams, 77, of Clarkson Rd. on Loon Lake, and former Clifton Park resident, passed peacefully at home  on Monday February 15, 2021 overlooking the lake that she loved so dearly, in the loving care of her family.  Nan was born on May 25, 1943 in Englewood, NJ and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mariana Hopkins Villasenor.  She Attended Vincentian High School in Albany and was a graduate of Albany Business College.  Nan was the beloved wife of the late Eivion L. Williams who passed away in 2016.  She was an entrepreneur and home maker who was successful in many ways.  She had worked alongside her husband to build a successful business, and independently worked in the Travel and Insurance industries. Nan was an avid golfer who had been a member of the Edison Country Club in Rexford, NY and enjoyed her leagues at the Van Patten golf course in Clifton Park and at Cronin's Golf Resort in Warrensburgh.  She enjoyed her membership with the Chestertown Rotary and was the first female president ever elected to that organization (2019-2020).  She had been a communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Chestertown.

She is the devoted mother of Eivion Sean Williams (Lavina) of Clifton Park, NY and Erin Lee Durant (Michael) of Tampa, FL; sister of Elena Turley (Joseph) Albany, NY and Mark Donohue (Barbara) of Wilton, NY and the late James Villasenor (Millie of Albany, NY); Cherished grandmother of Connor, Braedon, Hunter and Garrett; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life and Memorial Mass will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 86 Riverside Dr. Chestertown, New York 12817.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
