Obituary of Debra Lynn Berry

Debra Lynn Hunsberger Berry, 61, of Halfmoon, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, she was raised in Lehigh Valley and was the daughter of the late Richard Arden Hunsberger and the late Shirley Anne Hunsicker Hunsberger Rose. She was a graduate of Niskayuna High School, class of 1977, and The Orlo Beauty School.

Debra was an accomplished hairstylist and cosmetologist who spent many years enjoying her trade. She had worked at Hair and Body Essentials in Clifton Park. 

She was a very talented artist who enjoyed sketching. She also loved reading and cooking for others. She loved her dogs, especially her late yorkie Tia. She had been a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Clifton Park.

Debra was always making others laugh with her lively personality. She was a kind and exceptionally caring person who was always ready to help those around her. Her presence and energy will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Beloved mother of Hayley (Christopher) Kavalla, Alexa Berry and Blake Hotopp, cherished grandmother of Tyler, Adeline and Emily Kavalla, sister of Donna (Michael) Hennel, aunt of Michael and Jack, and step-sister of Sandra Rose, James Rose, and the late William Rose.

A calling hour will be held on Monday February 22, 2021 at 11 am to 12 noon followed by her Funeral Service at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park NY 12065.

Please keep in mind attendees to her services must wear a facial covering, observe social distancing, and understand that there are capacity limits which must be followed.
