Obituary of Hira Lal Gupta

Hira Lal Gupta, 75, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital, fighting Pulmonary Fibrosis and Congestive Heart Failure. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Brij Gupta, his son, Mickey Gupta, two daughters Anuradha, Shallu and his son-in-law, Sanjeev. He was blessed with four grandchildren Jeremiah, Sahil, Sonal and Ariyana. Also surviving are his siblings, Sudarshan Maharjan, Mohan Lal Gupta, Raj Gupta and the late Kanta Mahajan and Savita Mahajan; his brothers and sistes in laws, Surinder Rametra, Vijay Rametra, Ashok "Tony" Rametra, Rajnish Rametra, Sushma Gupta and Rita Gupta. He also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Punjab, India, he was the son of Sh. Mulkhraj Mahajan and Smt. Gian Devi. He migrated to the United States in 1980 and has called Guilderland his home since then. Hira Lal was a selfless soul, who showered everyone with unconditional love. He was a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist and businessman. He lived his entire life serving his family, business and the community. May his spirit prosper in the afterlife. He will be forever remembered with love. Funeral will be held Sunday morning at 11:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
