Mrs. Mary A. Bradley Van Schaick transitioned after a long illness on Saturday February 13, 2021 at Wake Medical Center Cary, NC. She was born May 30, 1943 in Albany, NY to the late Joseph T. Bradley and Martha Wright Bradley.

Mary trained as a nurse before marriage to the late Francis Van Schaick and becoming a mother. She also was director of her own daycare and an EMT in Adams Center NY. Upon moving to Clayton, NC she worked with the North Carolina’s Secretary of State’s office in Raleigh, NC. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and volunteered with the Food Pantry.

She is survived by two daughters; Mary E. Hardie (Al), Julianna K. Duncan (Kenny), two sons; Francis Joseph Van Schaick (Brynn), John Gerrit Van Schaick (Leigh Ann), ten grandchildren; Matthew and Sarah Hardie, Nolan, Catherine, Caroline, Owen Van Schaick, Olivia and Liam Van Schaick, Kristen and Kailey Duncan, two sisters; Patricia Sager of Malta NY, Virginia Bradley of Clayton, NC., one sister in law Nancy Porter of Raleigh, NC., as well as a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
