Carole C. Drenchko, 89, of Coburg Village, Rexford, NY, beloved wife of Joseph Drenchko, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.  Born in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ethel Lower Coppernoll. Carole grew up in Oswego and attended Oswego State University where she earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees.

Carole previously resided in North Syracuse, NY where she raised her family and taught in the North Syracuse School District.  She was the librarian at Lakeshore Road Elementary School for many years until her retirement in 1992.  Carole was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Syracuse NY, the NYS United Teachers and the North Syracuse Education Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bridge, shopping and was an avid reader. Carole also relished traveling in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean with her family and friends.

Carole is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Drenchko, daughter Darja (Bill) Nevits of Hudson, MA, son Peter (Stephanie) of Ballston Lake, NY, cherished grandsons Donovan and Trevor Drenchko, nephew Andrew Heckethorn and niece Amy Heckethorn-Jones.  She was predeceased by her sister Ann Heckethorn.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
