Obituary of James C. Bullis
James C. Bullis, 88, of Pittstown, peacefully entered into eternal life in the loving comfort and care of his family at home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
Born in Ausable Forks, NY, he was the son of the late David H. and Olive M. Jewtrau Bullis, was a graduate of Ausable Forks High School and attended Cornell University. Mr. Bullis served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and received his Honorable Discharge in 1954.
He was employed for 40 years by the Golub Corp./ Price Chopper Supermarkets as a Produce Manager and Store Manager, retiring in 1994.
Mr. Bullis was a communicant and Eucharist Minister at Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway, an Adorer with the Perpetual Care Adoration Society of St. Paul the Apostle Church and a member of the DAV Rev. Francis Kelley Chapter 38.
Married on June 5, 1960 to his beloved wife Adeline M. Snyder Bullis, he is the devoted father of Melissa (George) Brundige, Timothy J. (Tami) Bullis, Todd M. (Matt) Bullis, the late James P. Bullis who is survived by his wife Diane Bullis and the late Steven Bullis as well as to Patricia (Robert) Ody, brother of Joseph Bullis, Rodney Bullis, Sadie Rogalio, Lillian Worez, Lila Bullis, Luciel Bullis, Arleigh Bullis, Lloyd Bullis and Thomas Bullis, cherished grandfather “Poppy” of Christopher Brundige, Tyler Brundige, Kristina Bullis, Tiffany Bullis, Natalie Bullis, Trina Bullis and Trisha Bullis, adored great grand "Poppy" of Harper and Logan Davis, Tucker Charland and Anthony, Carson and Brixton Bullis, and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N.Lake Ave, Troy, NY 12180.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street Troy, New York 12180.
Entombment with military honors will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery Community Mausoleum in Troy.
