My heartfelt condolences to Virginia and all the family. It was beautiful watching the video and seeing all the loving faces, the wonderful life you built together. Joe went out of his way to help me at a turning point in my life and I am forever grateful. Thinking of Joe and Virginia brings back happy childhood memories of my grandparents, Fred and Phil Conte,
bringing me to Watervliet to visit Aunt Mary and my Godmother Phyllis. I can still hear my mother, Angie Conte Casamo, singing with her cousin Joe. Godspeed and love, Joanie Casamo

To all of the Cornell Family;
I send my deepest condolences for the loss of Mr. Cornell. I have many fond memories but I'll share one that I've shared so many times. I lived on North Pine Avenue next door to the Cornells . As a matter of fact we shared driveways. Often we would talk across the driveway. We were that close and Mr. Cornell would be putting a scroll in his player piano and I would turn the t v. Down so I could hear him sing. One evening he yelled across the driveway [not loudly] to come over and sing a song with him. So I got right up from my chair and walked over to his piano.
That is one if the fondest memories of my childhood. We sang bye bye black bird and it was the first time i had ever seen a player piano playing. I will always remember that evening He was one of the kindest man I ever met. I'm going to play bye bye black bird in his honor on Monday.
Much love, Heidi

To The Cornell Family
Ken & I became acquainted with Joe & Ginny at Our winter residence in Covered Bridge, Lake Worth, Fl. We enjoyed many Dinners, concerts & movies together. When ever possible Joe would sing for our Friday Night
Social Club. And we enjoyed him while in our church choir. He was a joy to be around his smile infectious. Joe was always available to help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Angels all around you Joe, see you down the road.

My heart is sad for Ginny and the family who have lost the best husband, father and friend one could ever have. Joe and Ginny were my neighbors at Covered Bridge. Joe was such a gentleman. One day I had a contractor come to my place to do some work. Joe came over to give me some male support. He didn’t trust the guy. I’ll never forget his voice when he sang at the club house “ I did it my way” I’m praying for all of you to find comfort from the Lord as you go through the coming days. May the Lord bless you.
