Duane Scott Distel, 63, of Horner Drive died on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Ellenville, NY on June 22, 1959 and was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Vanderlyn Distel. He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 1977 and had worked in construction for most of his career, recently with Lucarelli Excavating in Halfmoon.
He was the father of Amanda Christine Distel of Horseheads, NY; brother of Beverly J. (Benjamin) Davis, Bruce D. (the late Carol) Distel and Dana D. (Scott) Turban; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private for the family with interment in Ellenville, New York.
