Obituary of Barbara Jean (Beck) Bevill

Barbara Jean (Beck) Bevill went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2022, the same day as her Mom’s 100th birthday.

 

She was born March 29, 1946 to the late Louis W. Brown and Florence I. Bale in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

 

Barb enjoyed cruises, games, baking for her church, volunteering, and especially enjoyed celebrations with her large family. Growing up in North Troy, she graduated from Lansingburgh High School and Hudson Valley Community College. She also attended SUNY Albany and completed her Bachelor’s degree with Nova University.

 

Her business career was with General Electric.

 

Barbara spent her married life in Starke, FL. She is predeceased by her husband, Lamar C. (Lon) Bevill, her dad, Warren E. Beck, and her sister Nancy (Jim) Galarneau. She spent her recent years back in the Capital District where she enjoyed being around family.

 

She is survived by her mother, Florence I. Beck of Troy, N.Y. and her loving sisters, Judy (Fred) Stebbins of Las Vegas, N.V., Wendy (Ron) Crannell of South Glens Falls, N.Y., Linda Beck of Troy, N.Y., Jill (Frank) Meade of North Creek, N.Y., and loving brother, Fred (Elizabeth) Beck of Troy, N.Y. Barb is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. 

 

Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to HOSPICE at the Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. or a charity of your choice.

 

A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date at the convenience of the family.
