Obituary of John P. Morris, Jr.
John Paul Morris, Jr., 66, of Halfmoon, peacefully died at home in the loving care of his wife Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Born and educated in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late John P. and Alice Morris, Sr. John went on to serve our country and was a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1974 to 1976 where he was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, the Marksman M16 and Grenade Medals and his Honorable Discharge.
John followed in his father’s footsteps in the horse racing industry and had also been a talented contractor.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m..
The committal ceremony with military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871 at 12 Noon.
Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Association 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
