Obituary of Sandra S. LaBounty
Sandra Sheila LaBounty, 77, of Lansingburgh, beloved wife for over 57 years of Bruce W. LaBounty, Sr. peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Raymond R. Brooks, the late Theresa M. Wagar Brooks and her step-FATHER, the late Thomas McGrouty. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and was a life-long area resident.
Mrs. LaBounty retired from GardenWay (TroyBilt) in Troy.
Sandra loved her dogs; Bear, Big Boy and Sweety, her cats; Baby Girl, Snowball and Angel, porcelain dolls, coloring on the computer, ELVIS and spending time with her family and her dear friend Linda. She was of the Catholic faith and was devoted to the Lord and the Lord’s prayer.
Beloved wife of Bruce, Sr., devoted father of Tammie Turner Hinds (David), Penny LaBounty Horton (Clifford), Rebecca LaBounty Hicok (Benjamin), Terry LaBounty Symanski (Joseph), Bruce W. LaBounty, Jr. (Stefania) and Kimberly LaBounty Scully, sister of Terry (Mark) Danko, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12 Noon at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street and Fourth Avenue in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
Calling hours will be held that morning (Monday) at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.
Interment will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
