Obituary of Andrew M. Braungard
Andrew M. Braungard, 48, of Scotia, following a brief illness, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, New York, he is the son of George and Joan (Hopkins) Braungard. He was a graduate of Bishop Grimes High School in East Syracuse and SUNY Brockport where he earned his BA in Sociology.
Andrew had been employed by AAA and made friends there with whom he kept in touch.
Andrew enjoyed reading, amassing a large collection of Star Trek books, watched almost all things sci-fi, and enjoyed fishing.
Beloved son of George and Joan, devoted brother of twins; David (Michele) Braungard and John (Joy Galarneau) Braungard and Greta (Stephen Kinkade) Braungard, also survived by the joys of his life, nieces and nephews: Zoe, Elijah, Zofia, Violet, Gabriel, and Georgette.
A private Visitation and a private Memorial Service will be held for the family at their convenience.
Andrew’s family wishes to express their most sincere thanks to the staff at Albany Medical Center.
