Obituary of Steven G. Bloomgarden

Steven G. Bloomgarden, 73, of Katherine Drive, Halfmoon, died on Jan. 2, 2023 at his residence after a brief illness.  

He was born in Albany, NY on October 7, 1949 and was the son of the late Henry and Thelma Bloomgarden.  

Steven resided in Florida for about twenty years and moved back to NY in 2003 to be closer to his family.  

He was a general contractor early in his career, then worked as a car salesman in various dealerships until his retirement.  

He is the father of Amy L. (Richard) Rugel of Clifton Park and the late Scott T. Danker;  brother of Dave (Mercy) Bloomgarden of Falls Church, VA and sister Sandra L. Bloomgarden of Albany NY; grandfather of Ranee, David  Isaiah, and Rachel; also survived  by his nephew and niece, Nathan and Nicole. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT- 9, Clifton Park, NY  12065.
