Obituary of Carolyn Mingo

Carolyn Mingo, 64, of Troy, passed away at Samaritan Hospital in Troy on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Born and educated in Brooklyn, New York , she was the daughter of the late Russell Mingo and Marie Cephas (Vern) Dunbar.

Carolyn had been employed at Samaritan Hospital.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, music and fashion

Beloved mother of Sandra (Darryn) Gaston, Jermaine Mingo, Jasmine Mingo, Brittany Mingo, triples Diamond, Dominique and Danielle Mingo and Ayana Bennett, devoted sister of Larry Cephas. Roger Dunbar Darryn Dunbar, Dolores Mingo, the late Evelyn Mingo and the late Michael Mingo, also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. followed by her Home Going Service at 1:00 p.m. all at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.

Carolyn’s family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to their family and friends for their comforting support and prayers.
