Obituary of Paul A. Fingar

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Paul A. Fingar, aged 64, of Halfmoon, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany on May 20, 1959, he was the son of Barbara Jean Beckert Fingar and the late William Peter Fingar. A proud graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Class of 1977, Paul dedicated 47 years of his professional life to HL Gage Sales in Albany, where he served as a parts sales representative. He cherished the tranquility of water, spending countless hours on his boat, and working with his hands to restore old vehicles and equipment.

Above all, Paul was a devoted family man. His profound love for his wife, Patricia Troiano Fingar, with whom he shared over 50 years, was the cornerstone of his life. Their enduring partnership was filled with mutual support, deep affection, and countless shared adventures. Paul's family was his greatest joy, particularly his role as a loving father to Jennifer A. Mazzariello (Matthew) and Michael P. Fingar (Grace), and as a cherished papa of Jacob, Aiden, Ethan, Liam and Owen; He was the dear brother of Debbie Young (the late Colin), Bill Fingar (Dawn), and Lori Sears (Jim); also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A remembrance gathering in his honor will be held on Friday May 3rd, 2024, from 2 – 5 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
