Obituary of William A. Robert

William A. Robert, 97, of Speigletown, Town of Schaghticoke, beloved husband for 77 years of Charlotte Lussier Robert peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Born in North Adams, MA, he was the son of the late Augustin F. and Marie DeLisle Robert and attended Bliss Business College in North Adams for three years. He was self educated as an Instrument Mechanic in Home School Instrumentation.

Mr. Robert retired from GE Silicones in Waterford for 21 years.

Bill was a member of the Cohoes Moose Lodge, Cohoes-Waterford BPOE Elks Lodge, a communicant of Transfiguration Parish (formerly St. Bonaventure’s Church) in Speigletown and was a member of their Men’s Club.

Beloved husband for 77 years to Charlotte, devoted father of William A. Robert, Jr., Marie (Donald) Christopher and Susan Robert, cherished grandfather of Portia Robert, Michael (Arianna) Christopher, Daniel Christopher, Kelsy Wise, Aaron (Reanna) Krikava and the late Matthew Christopher, brother of the late Valmore Robert, the late W. Norman Robert and the late Blanche Walden, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Transfiguration Parish, 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, NY 12182 where his Funeral Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by Rev. George P. Fleming on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.

There are no public calling hours.

Interment will be held in South View Cemetery in North Adams.
