Harold J. Peabody, Jr. 76, of Lansingburgh, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.

 

Born and educated in Troy, he was the son of the late Harold J. Peabody and the late Beverly Archambeault Peabody.

 

Harold was an accomplished craftsman having worked for the family construction business for most of his life as well as several other companies.

 

He enjoyed playing softball and bowling, going to camp, was an avid Zippo lighter collector and had been a member of the BPOE Elks #141 in Troy.

 

Beloved father of Harold J. “Jimmy” Peabody, III, Mark Peabody, Michael Peabody, Craig (Sondra) Peabody, Traci (Daniel Kosarovich) Peabody, Margie Peabody, Robert Peabody, Jeffrey (Janet) Peabody and the late Thomas Peabody, dear brother of Mark (Chris) Peabody, Cheryl (John) Morgan, Dianne (Tom) Piterniak and the late Linda Williams, Sr., Victoria Michaels, Brian Peabody, Michael Peabody and Terri Hill, also survived by 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
