Michael F. "Mike" Peabody, 67, of Mechanicville, Town of Halfmoon, peacefully entered into eternal life on May 31, 2017.

Born and educated in Troy, he was the son of the late Harold and Beverly Archambeault Peabody and the beloved husband of the late Barbara Defreest Peabody. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.

Mike was last employed by Stewart's in Troy.

Mike was a well known avid and accomplished pool player. Billiards were his passion and he was a huge dog lover.

Father of Brian Peabody, brother of Linda Williams, Sr., Cheryl Morgan, Dianne Piterniak, Victoria Michaels, Harold, Mark and Brian Peabody, step-sister of Terri Hill, companion of Starr Leblanc, stepfather of Theresa, Mario, Lisa and Jenny Mugrace, also survived by several nieces and nephews and his friends at Sorrentino's Restaurant in Clifton Park.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Interment with military honors will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy.
