Falco (Buddy) Delmerico, age 96 passed away on August 21, 2024 after a brief illness. Born in Dobbs Ferry, New York on November 5, 1927 and a resident for seventy four years before moving to Clifton Park, NY in 2002. Son of the late Joseph (Nemo) and Fannie Delmerico. He is survived by his devoted wife Elsie (Fay) Delmerico and his three loving sons, Robert and wife Richelle of Clifton Park, NY; Paul and his wife Miranda of Winchester, VA; and Richard (Rick) of Canton, GA. Also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, Alan and Jeffrey Delmerico, Elise Lake, Lauren Lewer and Paula Delmerico, Brennan and Alec Delmerico and six great grandchildren, Alice, Patrick, Adelaide, Eloise, Mary Caroline and Luke.

Pre-deceased by his brothers John (Sonny) and Joseph (Diddy) Delmerico. He was a parishioner with Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry and after moving, he and his wife became members of St. Edward The Confessor Church, Clifton Park, NY.

A graduate of Dobbs Ferry High School and Westchester Community College. He was employed by Hudson Laboratories from 1954 to 1968 as an associate engineer and retired as supervisor of the engineering drafting design department from Reliable Automatic Sprinklers in 1993.

He is a US Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and a lifetime member of the American Legion, Dobbs Ferry Post #1048.

He joined the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Fire Department Hook and Ladder Company June 1955 and rose to the rank of Captain and was a lifetime member. He joined the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Corps in 1971 serving as treasurer and as president, becoming an associate member in 1998. He volunteered at Cabrini Nursing Home and for FISH (Friends in Service Helping). After moving to Clifton Park, he enjoyed volunteering at the Shenendehowa Senior Center, playing pool and bocce.

He enjoyed reading, especially, American History about the Civil War and Revolutionary War. He enjoyed traveling with his, devoted wife, and spending quality time with his sons, their families and dear friends.

Funeral will be held Sunday at 4:00 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm Sunday in the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
