A lot of fond memories playing street hockey on Wendell Ave. We would put Guy in the net because he was the youngest at the time. Mrs. Hebert would always make something for lunch or have plenty of snacks to eat. God forbid we drink all the soda, which happened more than once!! Mr. Hebert would come home from work and if the soda was gone he was not at all happy!! Many, many great memories of Mr & Mrs Hebert. God truly blessed us.

Q: How did you meet Paul?
A: I met Paul at the New York State Department of Correctional Services, he worked in Personnel and I worked in Finance. We became friends because of work and hockey. I was playing in the Capital District Hockey Association 30 and over league and Paul came out and joined our "Encon" team. He played in the league with us for many years and was always one of our leading scorers. I can still see him flying down the ice and swinging the puck out wide to go around a defenceman.
We had a lot of fun times on and off the ice. A really nice guy with a great sense of humor who seemed to always be smiling. My condolences to the family.

I'm shocked and can't believe Paul is gone.
We were good friends since grade 5 at school 14 and his birthday was the day before mine.
We played Pee Wee hockey together then as rivals at Catholic High vs Troy High
Paul was in my wedding and we both married Carols from Catholic High class of 59.
Paul stayed in Troy and he and his Carol raised a family that made him immensely proud
He spent a lot of time following his children's sports especially hockey
I move out of town and we drifted apart until we met at an Oswego Collage hockey game
Recently we have visited back and forth and he visited here in Florida last winter
My condolences to his entire family for his loss

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Paul Hebert on his passing. In life, you meet few who can lead by example as both mentor and friend.I was fortunate to have had Paul in these roles early in my work life with NY State. His advice and concern in both professional and personal life gave needed support at key points of my life. He is remembered gratefully.

Q: How did you meet Paul?
A: Paul and I met as classmates at Boston College and roomed together for our junior and senior years. Paul was the tall one and I played the roll of the short partner...A real Mutt and Jeff team. We reconnected after the passing of Carole and we discovered that we both enjoyed horses and casinos and to feed that habit we met twice a year...winter in Florida and summer at Saratoga. My wife Mary loves to cook and said he was her favorite winter guest. Miss you big guy. Mary and Bob "Suds" Colgan
