Obituary of Devmaya Devkota

Devmaya Devkota, 78 of Hickory Dr. passed over on Sunday Dec. 15, 2024 at her home in the loving care of her family. She was born on May 2, 1946 in Gorkha, Nepal and was the daughter of the late Lila Nath and Man Maya Panta. Devmaya was the wife of the late Chitra Prasad Devkota. She was a wonderful homemaker. She was happy to cook tasty meals for family and friends. Devmaya enjoyed traveling and was happy to be involved with fun-filled activities such as dancing. Always willing to provide support to those in need. Devmaya was a caring and cheerful person. Even when in pain, she would never express this to the family because she never would want to upset them. 

She is the beloved mother of Kamala Osti, Bhuminand, Devkota and Krishna Devkota; she is also survived by brothers, sisters and grandchildren. 

Hindu Funeral Ritual will be held on Tuesday Dec. 17, 2024 at 9:30 am in the Gardner Earl Crematory and Chapel, 186 Oakwood Avenue Troy, New York 12182.
