Obituary of Theresa Julia Johnson

Theresa Julia Johnson, 85, of Revere Run, died on Sunday Nov. 4, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  Theresa was born in Clifton Park, NY on Dec. 12, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Sarah Biette LeRoux.  She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School and was the beloved wife of the late William Johnson who died on Jan. 6, 2007.  She had been a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service in Albany for over 20 years.  Theresa loved her pets, writing poetry, knitting and enjoyed cooking.  She also had a fondness for shopping and could always be found at the Este Lauder counter.  She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.

 

She is the devoted mother of Karen A. (the late George) Bell of Cambridge, NY, Phyllis Yvonne (Scott) Thompson of Mechanicville, NY and William Robert (Lynn) Johnson of Ballston Spa, NY; sister of the late Helen Fagan and Sarah Dalpe; cherished grandmother of Daniel Bruce and Benjamin William Wardwell, Robert Wesley  and Timothy Robert Bultman and William Robert Johnson, III;  She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service was held privately on Wednesday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home in Clifton Park with Fr. Rick Lesser, Pastor of Corpus Christi Church officiating.

 

Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford, N Y

Memorial contributions may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Rd. Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
