Obituary of Frances I. Sulzberger

Frances I. “Fran” Sulzberger, 87, of Clifton Park and formerly of Sun City Ctr., FL, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018.

Born and educated in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. “Frank” and the late Myrtle M. Mills Spillane and was the beloved wife of the late William H. “Bill” Sulzberger, Jr.

Devoted mother of Nancy Salerno, Frances (Robert M.) Harding, William H. (Gayle A.) Sulzberger, III, Susan (David) Farley, Penny Sulzberger and Diane (Stephen P.) Jackson; cherished grandmother of Amy (Andy), Kristine (Mike), Matthew (Sara), Mary, Rachael, Madeline, William IV (Mel), Julie (Nick), Eric (Jenny), Sarah, Heather (Adam), Richard, Casey, Alexandria, Ethan; and beloved great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren.       

Fran was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park and had enjoyed many years as a member and active volunteer with the Lion’s Club Auxiliary in Watervliet.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday November 15, 2018 at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Funeral will be held on Friday November 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated followed by interment at noon in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the CaringKind- The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving and Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare in memory of Frances I. Sulzberger.
