Obituary of Carol Ann DeSiena

Carol Ann DeSiena, 74, of Halfmoon, beloved wife of  Dr. Alvin F. DeSiena, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Ellis Hospital with loving family present.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Margaret I. DeSorbo Campione.

She was a graduate of Holy Names and attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Carol Ann worked at the dental office of her late brother Frank J. Campione and as the office manager at her husband's dental practice, Dr. Alvin F. DeSiena. Prior to marriage, Carol also modeled in the fashion industry and instructed in the fitness industry.

Carol Ann was Past President and District Supervisor of the Shenendehowa PTA and in years past, was very active at St. Edward the Confessor Church where she was a Religious Ed Instructor.  Carol was always involved in all of her son’s school and social activities, college programs and supported both of her sons as US Army Officers. Carol never stopped providing guidance and wisdom to her loved grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband; Dr. Alvin F. DeSiena; her devoted sons; Thomas J. DeSiena of Halfmoon, Frank J. DeSiena of Longmont, Colorado and Christian A. (Sonja) DeSiena of Lansberg, Germany; cherished grandmother of Heather, Frank Jr., Aaron and Hannes DeSiena. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Frank J. Campione, Jr. and Margaret A. Ross.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Edward's Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home , 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY, 12065.

Entombment will be held in Memory's Garden, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Covenant House and St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Carol Ann DeSiena.
