Nothing but a top shelf Guy! Hired me for my first "paying" job when I was 16 and I stuck by his side for 50 years. My guiding light has left me, but has left me with a strong heart and will. As Best Man at their wedding I toasted, "Together we have seen the best of times...and the worst of times, I toast to the best of times".
To Joan, Shane and especially Suzanne, my heart and soul are with you in this time of grief and as it appears I won't be back in time for the services, I will be by each of your sides tough and should you feel a soft breeze of embrace, it is I.

Gary was raised by our wonderful grandparents, Adelbert and Helen DeMont, until he joined the Air Force. Myself and my two older brother, Bob and Bill were also with them until approximately 1956. The four of us were extremely close and Gary was dearly loved. Unfortunately as time has passed and distances have kept us too far apart. Gary was always a special, special person. Always there with a ready smile and warm, friendly personality. Rest in peace dear cousin. Many prayers to your family. Janet

I knew Gary back in the 80s when I was in high school with Shane. He was a good man, a smart entrepreneur and good father. He was also a good boss. I worked for him in Mechanicsville. He raised wonderful kids. My condolences to Shane, Joan and all the family!
