Obituary of Constance Susan Martorano
Constance (Connie) Martorano of Clifton Park and formerly of Naples FL, passed away peacefully January 23, 2019 at the age of 96. Connie was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Alexander and Susan D’Antonio. She grew up in a loving home with her brothers Michael, Carmine (Sonny) and sister Nettie.
She married John Martorano in 1950 and lived on Long Island, NY for 37 years before moving to Naples. Connie and John were married for 60 years until his death in 2010. They were inseparable; enjoyed traveling, being with family and friends, and they loved to dance the lindy.
Connie had a passion for music and could often be heard belting out her favorite tunes. She was a talented seamstress, embroiderer and knitter, as well as an avid swimmer, winning 2 gold medals at the senior Olympics at the age of 85. Mostly, she was passionate about, and devoted to, her family.
She is survived by her 4 children; Mary Post (John), John Martorano, Lisa Reilly (James) and Susan Cisternino (Mark), 4 grandchildren; Alexandra, James, Brian and Emily and great-grandchild, Cayden.
Connie lived long, loved well and laughed often.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park in the near future.
