Margaret F. Taffany, 98, formerly of Clifton Park and Yonkers, NY, beloved wife of the late John E. Taffany, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 11, 2016.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Frederick P. and Margaret C. Fuller and was a graduate of the Scarborough School in Westchester County.
Mrs. Taffany was a homemaker and throughout her life enjoyed tennis, horseback riding, swimming, and reading, but most especially family activities. She attended St. Mary's Church Crescent.
She was the devoted mother of John M. Taffany (Takako), Laura G. Taffany (Steve Kopelman), David J. Taffany (Dr. Nancy Sapio), and the late Katherine A. Taffany; cherished grandmother of David, Zachary, Kalina, and Alexandra Taffany and Nicole, Jared and Samantha Kopelman; and adored great grandmother of Kaizen Taffany.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church Crescent, 86 Church Hill Rd., Waterford, NY 12188.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9 in Clifton Park.
Interment will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
Her family desires that in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in memory of Margaret F. Taffany.
